Detailed Description

Central America has a little bit of magic for all ages. Finding the ruins of a Maya city deep in the rainforest with howler monkeys guarding crumbled avenues and then lazing away a day on a Caribbean beach with warm shallow waters for the children to safely play in. Feel the excitement of walking on a volcano or canoeing a wildlife-dappled river, or take a horse and carriage ride across the cobblestone of colonial Antigua. This is a region with something for everyone, whether gazing over the Pacific Ocean or wandering through the rainforest.

Your 3-week vacation across three countries is handcrafted for families of all ages and interests, taking in a mix of highlights across Guatemala, Belize, and Costa Rica. There will be lots of action as you travel to seven different destinations, but there will also be plenty of downtimes. Stay on a quiet Caribbean beach in Placencia, and then finish the vacation with several days on a Pacific Ocean beach. There will be something for everyone that makes Central America special in between.

Antigua provides a charming city experience and is a great introduction to the region. Fly direct to Flores for two Guatemalan days amid rainforest and Maya ruins, and then it is a short drive across the border to the beauty of Belize. Enjoy the wildlife and the cultural odyssey along the Macal River before your flight to the Caribbean and Placencia. Fly from Belize City to San Jose where your first Costa Rican destination will be the cloud forests and coffee plantations of Central Valley. Travel north for several days around the Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica’s most iconic destination, and then end your Central America family odyssey at Papagayo Peninsula on the Pacific Ocean.  Interested in browsing travelers’ Belize family vacation reviews? Costa Rica Tour Review: Tortuguero, Nosara, 11 Nights

Zicasso’s travel specialist was great, right from the planning to the execution stage. They patiently listened and planned the activities, and adjusted to our changes as requested.

On the ground, the hotels met our expectations, the team was excellent, the drivers were great and professional, and the communication via the WhatsApp group in Costa Rica worked perfectly. No surprises, things worked smoothly.

Costa Rica Birthday Vacation Review: Tortuguero National Park, Monteverde, Arenal, Manuel Antonio, Hot Springs, Suspension Bridges, Catamaran Cruise, 12 Days

Our recent trip to Costa Rica was absolutely amazing. The trip far exceeded our expectations. Our experience was everything we hoped it would be and more. Zicasso’s travel specialist took the vision I had for celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and turned it into something magical. From start to finish, she was extremely responsive. We had no issues with communication.

When we arrived in Costa Rica, we were warmly greeted by a representative from the tour operator. The transfers from one destination to the next were seamless. We were completely blown away with the accommodations and excursions. Our local representative was our point of contact during the trip. She was super-friendly and very responsive. We really had no hiccups during our trip. There isn't one thing that I can think of that went wrong. It was definitely a trip we will never forget and something we will be talking about for a long time.
