Zicasso Traveler Stories

Originally, we had booked a Turkey/Greece itinerary with a Zicasso affiliate. Due to the outbreak of Middle East hostilities, we canceled the Turkey portion of our trip and decided to replace it with Sicily/Rome. Zicasso’s travel specialist, with very little time to spare, developed an agenda that synced up with our remaining plans in Greece. The result was extraordinarily professional.

The detailed agenda, with descriptions, times, locations, and contact information, left nothing to chance, giving us great peace of mind. The drivers and tour guides were very professional. Most of our guides had PhDs! Foodie tours in Palermo, cooking classes in Messina, wine tasting on Mount Etna (with a five-course meal!), archaeological and historic sites with informed insights... amazing! Our hotels and restaurants were first class!

The travel specialist did a great job of involving us in the selection process. Kudos! Our airline ticketing was also handled seamlessly, with no glitches.

We had the most amazing time in Spain because of Zicasso’s travel specialist. He created a well-planned itinerary for us, which made it so memorable. We knew this would be our last international trip because of my husband’s health. The travel specialist is very professional and really took care of our special needs for my 80-year-old husband's health situation.

We so enjoyed ourselves exploring the Andalusia area. Everything was so well planned: hotels, trains, private drivers, knowledgeable private guides, a winery visit, restaurant reservations, a guitar concert, and he was always available to help us. I would recommend this travel company to everyone. We have so many special memories that he helped us make. I look forward to returning to Spain someday!

Every element of our Greece trip was outstanding. The connections, the hotels, the tours, and the recommendations for food were all wonderful. The planning process, through a series of digital exchanges, made it easy and convenient for our hectic schedule.

Greece is beautiful, the history is compelling, and the people and food are amazing. Also, we found it very affordable, even with the $/euro exchange ratio factored in. We will go back to Greece in the future. We will use Zicasso again and recommend it to our friends.

Zicasso’s travel company was great! We were a group of six: me and my wife, a three-year-old (who turned four on the last day of the trip), a one-and-a-half-year-old, and my parents (both nearing 70), traveling from Southern California, USA.

Due to various work/life issues, we were only able to squeeze out time for a one-week trip (weekend to weekend) before we had to be back home. Despite these challenges (varying ages and time limitations), we still wanted to do a once-in-a-lifetime, multi-generational family trip where we could all spend time together in Spain, make memories, learn about a different culture, and just have something that we could all look back on with fondness.

Through Zicasso, we connected with the team at this travel company, and it was the best decision ever. From start to finish, they helped us craft a trip that was specifically tailored to the needs of our group. We were traveling with babies and grandparents, but we still wanted to hit the ground running and do as much as we could, cramming in as many food and sightseeing experiences as possible. They presented us with ideas and suggestions, gave us their thoughts when we asked for their opinion (including on feasibility), answered all of our questions, and were always super-responsive. We said it, they handled it.

We didn’t have to do things like calculate when to eat lunch in order to make it in time to the next event because they handled all of the reservations and scheduling, while factoring in distances and realistic timeframes. On parts of the trip that required traveling by car, the drivers showed up with spacious vans that included baby car seats that they knew how to set up quickly and efficiently.

The team took out all of the stress of planning a trip, so we basically just had to show up and everything was smoothly set in place. This was super-important for us, since traveling with babies and grandparents could have been very tough and hectic, but we were frankly in awe of how smooth everything was once we got to Spain.

While in Spain, they were available for contact and questions 24/7 if any issues came up. For example, it took longer than expected to get through customs when we landed, which resulted in a slight delay to our first sightseeing event, but all of it was smoothly resolved through chat communications with the team, who contacted the various drivers and vendors in real time so everything was seamless.

The tour guides they work with were also all wonderful and quite expert in their knowledge, and all seemed to have VIP status that allowed us to move through huge crowds and get into places smoothly. We felt super-supported knowing we had a large team behind us during our time in Spain.

We all had a great, smooth time and still daydream about our time there. We are worried that future trips will be less enjoyable because we have to compare them with our wonderful trip to Spain.

Our guides were top-notch. We built lasting connections with them. They were flexible and easy to work with. If we changed our minds about what we wanted to do that day, they were flexible and happy to accommodate the change. The guides were good about sharing our ideas and preferences with the other guides and with the travel company, which kept our itinerary fun and exciting because they were able to suggest impromptu trips or activities that really fit our needs.

Zicasso’s travel company was a pleasure to work with, from our initial consultation all the way through our trip. They planned our trip around the sights and experiences we requested and even included several suggestions that we had not thought of. We were traveling with young children and they made sure to account for all of their needs and interests so they could enjoy themselves, too.
