As you arrive in Paris, you will be unable to stop your smile as the chatter of Parisians, and the smell of croissants really do fill the air. Your eyes will soon find the Eiffel Tower, dominate as it surges towards the sky. The Arc de Triomphe, a legacy from a different artistic time is no far away, and then the Place de la Concorde, where dark chapters from French history whisper from the walls. You will never grow tired of all there is to see, but you do need an excellent guide to make sense of them all. Every building has a history, and as you take a tour along the River Seine, you will come to understand their place in Parisian culture. Detailed Description

This handcrafted tour will bring you to the grandest of Europe’s highlights as you see the places that have shaped the history of the world. Savor the artistic inspiration that changed design forever as you travel landscapes that you will forever carry in your soul. This will be a journey of endless impressions, seen at a fast pace as you travel through the best of three countries. Almost every night there will be somewhere new, but Europe is not that big, so while you are regularly on the move, there is enough time to enjoy where you are going. This tour is designed for first-time visitors to Europe with a focus on the essential sights. Without going too far off the beaten track, your city guides will tailor each day’s plans, so there is the opportunity to adapt your daily schedule to include the places and the experiences you are most interested in.

Compare Milan’s Gothic Duomo with St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, and then meander through the Swiss Alps and along the French Riviera. Cruise the River Seine in Paris and gondolier down Venetian canals, and then immerse yourself in Florence’s Renaissance neighborhoods, contrasting the experience with Paris’s 19th-century cobbles. Sit back on grand piazzas and wonder at how such places were built so many centuries ago. Dine on the distinctive foods, from French patisseries to Italian gelato, and then toast to so many of Europe’s wonders over just 13 days of travel.

You will begin and end in France, with your first couple of days in Paris all about legendary sights. Cruise along the River Seine to glimpse most of them, and then discover the wonder of the Louvre and Versailles, among other places. Travel by road to Switzerland, an exquisite journey up and into the Alps. Lucerne is a laid-back medieval town surrounded by mountains, a good place to relax amid nature and enjoy many classic Swiss experiences. It will be an equally impressive mountain journey to Milan, up and over and then down into a city that is full of grand architecture.

Most of your Italian travel is done by train, with modern high-speed services giving you some time to relax while taking in the stunning views of the country. Travel to Venice and begin with a gondola discovery tour. Zoom to Rome the next day, and a couple of days will allow you to explore Ancient Rome, the Baroque Middle Ages Rome, and the best of the Vatican City. It is then under 2 hours by train to Florence, the beautiful city of Michelangelo and Raphael. From there, make a stop in Pisa on route to Genoa, a lovely port city on the Mediterranean, and then journey by road to the French Riviera with destinations like Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Avignon part of your last couple of days.

France Vacation Review: Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Giverny, Monet Experience, 6 Days

I had been hesitant to book a trip to France because of the difficulty of language. I had the opportunity to visit friends in Nantes and Bordeaux, but wanted to take a tour of Paris first. I needed help with transportation to and from the airport, to our hotel, and to and from the Paris train stations. I also wanted to take tours to a few iconic landmarks. The Zicasso company helped with all these requests and also gave us a driver and guides to some of the landmarks. With all this support from Zicasso, we had a seamless itinerary and a most wonderful and magical time in Paris.

Italy Travel Review: Sorrento, Taormina, Rome, Pompeii, Mount Etna, Wine Tasting, 2 Weeks

We had a fabulous trip to Italy, including to Sorrento, Taormina, and Rome. Zicasso’s travel specialist made sure every detail was taken care of, including stays in beautiful, well-located hotels and excursions that were interesting and fun for our family.

For example, she arranged for an airport host to assist us with our arrival to and departure from the Rome airport, and she was simply amazing, whisking us through the airport and eliminating stress for our family.

In all respects, a well-planned and well-executed trip to London and Rome. The guides were exceptional in knowledge, kindness, and sense of humor. The best restaurant recommendation was the one in London.

Switzerland Travel Review: Zermatt, Zurich, 10-Night Trip

Zicasso’s travel company was great. Invariably, there are always hiccups on every trip, but the travel company worked very hard to rectify any issues. The itinerary they put together was perfect for our family and met everyone’s needs. The only thing I would recommend for future clients is that the timelines were pretty tight, so we were not always able to experience each place as much as we would have liked because transit times ended up being longer than what was listed in the itinerary.

For travelers, something to keep in mind when traveling in Switzerland in the winter is the shortened daylight hours and many shops and restaurants being closed throughout the holiday season.

One of the best decisions we made was to buy first-class rail passes, as the second-class cars were very busy, which would have been especially difficult on days when we were shuttling luggage from one city to the next. I would also recommend pre-booking seats on trains from Zermatt to Zurich after New Year’s, as we had to sit in a stairwell because there were no seats left.

Amazing!! Everything from start to finish was simply amazing! The process, from the beginning with Zicasso to the end with Zicasso’s travel consultant, was flawless. She was in touch throughout the whole process. In preparation, she was very responsive and, once we were there, every little detail was thought through.

Switzerland Travel Review: St. Moritz, Zermatt, Grindelwald, Skiing, Ice Climbing, Winter Activities, 2-Week Trip

Zicasso’s travel company planned an amazing vacation for our family of five. Despite our late planning to go to Switzerland, they found us great accommodations in favorable locations and planned a two-week schedule that enabled us to see the sights and participate in varied winter activities, while leaving us the flexibility to determine what we wanted to do each day. It was a stress-free, adventurous family vacation.
