France Tour Review: Cassis, Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Roussillon, Aigues-Mortes, 8 Nights

My daughter and I overall had a fantastic trip. It was arranged on very short notice, and I really appreciated the travel agent working with us with such short notice. The hotels we stayed in were excellent. Originally, we had requested 2 beds, but both places we got 1, and we were able to make it work. We were able to get to all the sights we were hoping to see, and had excellent tour guides for both private and small group tours. I would have liked to have more information for what to expect on some of those tours, for example, our trip to the lavender fields/Valensole included a stop at a lake with the option to swim. We had no idea, so did not bring swimsuits. Our trip to Cassis was listed as a 5 hour tour, but was scheduled in a way that it was basically the drive to Cassis, the boat ride through 3 of the Calanques, and a very short time to sit on the beach before driving back. We did not have time to eat lunch before the trip back, and the timing of the drive back meant that restaurants were also closed back in Aix when we returned. Finally, we would have liked some input- we had read about the Camargue area, but didn't expect it to be basically people's ranches. That was a disappointing day. Still all in all an amazing trip.

France Trip Review: Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Luberon, Cooking Class, 8 Days

This is the email that I shared with the travel specialist. Sharing it with you as well.

“Actually, the trip was nothing as we expected, and we were very disappointed in the quality of service from your agency. The apartment in Aix was in a great location but was a disaster. From hallways that smelled like sewage to plumbing issues, to not having a bathroom upstairs for the upstairs guest, having separate toilets and shower rooms, and old and peeling furniture, and that none of this was shared with us at the time of booking, I cannot believe that you would put clients in a hotel apartment like that. Please note that the hotel in Nice was lovely.

In addition, the tours that we took for Nice were not very good. The guides were actually just drivers and did not really share much. The guides in Aix were very good and I would highly recommend them, as well as the cooking class at a local cooking school. In addition, sending us a printed list of restaurants with no recommendations was not helpful. We could’ve pulled the same list from the Internet or ChatGPT. Further, in Aix, the drivers from and to the airport were not able to drop us off at the apartment and we had to walk a few blocks with heavy luggage - a fact  that you did not share with us prior.

All in all, we enjoyed our time because we were with good friends in a beautiful country but we are very disappointed in the quality of your agency and the communication. This is not the quality we have come to expect from Zicasso. We will be sure to let Zicasso know.

Regards, Liza."

France Travel Review: Lyon, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, History, Food Pairings, Wine Tastings, 11 Nights

Our trip to Provence was fabulous. The three cities, Lyon, Avignon, and Aix-en-Provence, gave us a real sense of the region. The food, wine, and tours were all magnificent. The hotels were lovely and centrally located.

The five days in Avignon gave us a sense of the city and history.  All the guides were excellent and well informed. Our entire trip was well organized and the travel app which outlined our trip was “perfect." We were especially thankful for the drivers who were always on time.

We highly recommend our Zicasso travel expert and our travel company. We have never been disappointed with Zicasso.

France Travel Review: Reims, Wine Tasting, 9 Days

The trip was perfect from start to finish. Our travel specialist did an amazing job putting the tour together for us. All aspects surpassed our expectations. The hotels were beautiful, historic, and centrally located. The tours were exactly what we wanted and all the guides were exceptionally well prepared and knowledgeable.

We used a mix of private and small-group tours, which worked well and added to the experience. The transportation via TGV trains worked perfectly. This was our first time using Zicasso and we were thrilled with the results. It was truly a very memorable trip.

France Travel Review: Paris, Normandy, Mont-Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, Loire Valley, 2 Weeks

We had an amazing time on our travels from Paris to the D-Day beaches of Normandy, Mont-Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, and the Loire Valley. Our Zicasso travel specialist was an excellent communicator and adjusted quickly when the heat wave in Paris resulted in a couple of changes to our itinerary. We felt very well supported throughout our trip.

France Family Vacation Review: Paris, Bayeux, Normandy, Mont-Saint-Michel, Baking Class, D-Day Tour

Zicasso's travel agent planned a fantastic trip for our family to Paris and Normandy. We would not have thought to go to Normandy and it was the perfect choice. Using the travel app made everything a breeze. Our Segway tour and baking class in Paris were so fun and the suggestion to visit the Eiffel Tower at night was a huge hit. Our hotels in Paris, Bayeux, and St. Malo were beautiful, and the customer service was wonderful at each. We had amazing guides for our D-Day tour and Mont-Saint-Michel.
