Hearing the Music of Salzburg

Salzburg is considered the northwest gateway to Austria. The city is set in a magnificent valley filled with the music of the River Salzach and the lingering memory of Mozart, who was born in the city in the 18th century. Domes and spires of numerous baroque churches create a charming skyline underneath the towering cliff of the fortress and the powerful peaks of the encircling mountains. When you arrive at Salzburg Airport, your private transfer is already waiting. In the city center, you find horse drawn carriages taking locals and visitors on romantic rides around Old Town. Narrow alleyways fill with classical music drifting out of open windows and accompanying the aroma of freshly baked cakes and slowly brewed coffee. The city has a particular magic of its own. When you settle into your luxurious accommodation, you can enjoy the splendors of Salzburg’s historic streets and Alpine charm at your leisure.

France, Italy, China, Japan Trip Review: Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Glass Blowing, Cultural Experiences, 16 Days

Zicasso’s travel company did such a great job putting the trip together. I was charged for an extra night at our hotel in Paris, but they are refunding that and the Cairo portion of the trip we had to cancel.

Our Paris tour guide was great and I’d recommend her to anyone. Our Rome tour guides were very good. Hong Kong was fine. Our Tokyo guide was wonderful.

Really, the only hiccup on the trip was our hotel in Hong Kong. The company that picked us up dropped us at one hotel, not the correct one. Thankfully, a couple of their bellhops walked us and all our luggage several blocks to the correct hotel. Our tour guide the next day also went to the wrong hotel, but we only lost about 45 minutes before we figured out the issue. If you use that hotel again, please make sure folks know which hotel is which.

The "Fast and Furious" car experience was OK; however, my grandson was so tired he slept through most of it. The chopstick-making was fun, as was the glass-blowing experience.

France Vacation Review: Amboise, Normandy, Private Tours, 12 Days

We had a wonderful trip to France. Zicasso’s travel specialist and the travel company set up great small-group and private tours with excellent guides. The accommodations were outstanding and all the logistics (transfers, trains, tour meeting places) were arranged with careful thought and clear directions.

Our travel specialist was in contact with us before and during our trip and was very responsive and accommodating. We would not hesitate to use the travel company for our next trip to France.

France, England Tour Review: Paris, London, Versailles, Macaron Making, Seine River Cruise, 9 Days

Zicasso’s travel company was an incredible partner for our trip. I was traveling with an elderly woman and two kids (11 and 13), and they did a fantastic job making sure every activity worked well for all of us. They thoughtfully arranged our travel and activities in Paris and London, and everything was seamless. They were always quick to respond if anything came up, and every experience they planned, from guides to excursions, was truly top-notch.

What really stood out were their thoughtful recommendations. They didn’t just plan a trip, they introduced us to unique, one-of-a-kind experiences we never would have found on our own.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the travel company to anyone traveling to Europe. By the end of the trip, they didn’t feel like a vendor, they felt like friends.

France Tour Review: Normandy, Paris, History, 8 Nights

Every detail was exactly as promised. Zicasso’s travel specialist listened to our likes and dislikes, and curated the perfect trip for us. She even asked what some of our best trips in the past were and why, and delivered the same special experience in France as others have in Italy and Greece for our son, who loves history. Highly recommended.

France Vacation Review: Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Giverny, Monet Experience, 6 Days

I had been hesitant to book a trip to France because of the difficulty of language. I had the opportunity to visit friends in Nantes and Bordeaux, but wanted to take a tour of Paris first. I needed help with transportation to and from the airport, to our hotel, and to and from the Paris train stations. I also wanted to take tours to a few iconic landmarks. The Zicasso company helped with all these requests and also gave us a driver and guides to some of the landmarks. With all this support from Zicasso, we had a seamless itinerary and a most wonderful and magical time in Paris.
