Munich – Welcome to Munich
Begin your Bavarian beer adventure in the state’s capital, Munich. Once you land, a comfortable 40-minute transfer will see that you make it from the airport to your hotel on the sophisticated Maximilianstrasse.
When you’ve settled into your room at the Hotel Vier Jahrezeiten Kampinski, which has had the distinguished honor of hosting famous faces like Elton John, Sophia Loran, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen Elizabeth II and even Sissi (Elisabeth of Bavaria), you’ll have the afternoon to explore the town.
A good way to spend your time might be to stroll down Maximilianstrasse and check out the luxury stores that line its pavement. Then take a quick stroll along the pedestrian Theatinerstrasse, towards Odeonsplatz, and prepare your taste buds for Maelu. The café and patisserie is adored by locals for its delectable miniature mousse cakes, macaroons and éclairs.
If you have the energy, finish your afternoon by taking a tour of the Munich Residenz — the former home of the Bavarian Royals. Admire the Antiquarium, a magnificent 66-metre long hall featuring antique sculptures and paintings, the Emperor’s Hall with impressive ceilings painted by Peter Candid, the marble floors, golden ceilings and silver reliefs of the Ornate Chapel and the ostentatiousness of the Ornate Rooms.

Wow! We enjoyed every aspect of our trip. Zicasso’s travel agent was wonderful to work with! She and our travel company made our Oktoberfest experience wonderful. We had heard how crazy it could be, but they eliminated all that worry. Our guides stayed with us for a large part of the evening; they were very professional and fun. That was a great way to start the trip!
This was a long vacation, with many moving parts, so we expected to experience small hiccups throughout the journey. The app that this travel company uses was handy and wonderfully detailed, which also made reaching out with any questions very easy. Loved that! (Seriously, every travel agency should have itinerary apps.) They were very responsive and we would work with them again.
The trip was beyond beautiful and we cannot wait to experience our next trip through Zicasso. We tell anyone who asks who we use. None of the places we have stayed at have ever disappointed.
Wunderbar!

For our trip to Germany, Zicasso’s travel specialist and his team did an outstanding job at planning a trip that felt personalized just for us. From the beginning, the travel specialist understood exactly what we were looking for. Instead of scheduling tour after tour, they gave us the perfect balance of self-guided walks, private tours, with enough time to relax and experience several beer gardens and beautiful scenery. They really worked to give us a curated experience that fit within our budget. On the trip, if we had any logistical snags or questions, they were always available to assist us and make sure that we were on the right track.
On our eight-day trip, we did end up travelling a bit more than we expected, but that also allowed us to see a little bit of everything and, looking back, I wouldn't have given up any of the places that we were able to see.
There's not a lot that I would change about the trip. Maybe an extra day in Munich between the day trips that we took and one more day in Rüdesheim, where we could have taken it easier after the fantastic wine tour we received.
I would highly recommend this travel company to anyone looking to visit Germany.

Zicasso’s travel company put together a wonderful trip for us! Our 10-day trip included stays in Berlin, Dresden, and Munich, with stops in between in Potsdam and Nuremberg. We had great guides, great hotels, great recommendations, and great communication from them throughout the trip. I highly recommend working with them.

I think it was a pleasurable trip and we enjoyed it. I think it was a bit overpriced for what we were getting.

My husband and I just had a wonderful trip to Germany in May 2026, organized by our travel specialist. After making contact with me by phone and email, she tailored a trip to our taste and budget. We loved every day. While we were there, she would call us to ensure we were happy.
Everything was so well organized over the 12-day trip and we never had to worry about a thing. She arranged two marvelous guides: our guide in Hamburg and Schwerin, and our guide in Bavaria. They were both knowledgeable, entertaining, and excellent company. They took us to places we wouldn’t have known about.
It was a memorable and stress-free trip. I would highly recommend this travel company and I wouldn’t hesitate to go through Zicasso when we plan our next trip.
