Historical Tour of Greece Designed for June

After breakfast this morning, you will venture on an e-bike tour that will introduce you to the city’s historic landmarks. Your tour will not leave you without the supervision of an expert guide, who will inform you of historical facts and stories that you cannot find any other way, even with the internet. Your tour will include the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the first Olympic Stadium, and the Acropolis. After your tour concludes, you can end your evening with a hammam experience.

After breakfast, you will embark on an excursion to Delphi. Upon your arrival, a guide will lead you on a private tour full of noteworthy landmarks and some of the history behind them. Your first destination will be the charming village of Arachova before touring Apollo’s sanctuary in Delphi. Delphi is considered to be the birthplace of Apollo, serving as the sacred site where men journey to from afar to receive prophecies of their futures.

After breakfast, you will visit Corinth. Your guide will introduce you to the intriguing city that was one of the very first European cities to embrace Christianity. Following the footsteps of St. Paul, you will go on a tour that allows you to witness the sacred places he preached to the Corinthians and the Temple of Apollo. After your tour, your driver will return you to your Athens accommodation, where you catch a short flight Thessaloniki.  After settling in to your new surroundings, your guide will lead you on a private walking tour of the city.

After having some time to relax this morning, you will venture to Pella and Vergina. Famous for their links to Alexander the Great, this pair of locales will host you for a day of adventure. Vergina will allow you to witness the Royal Tombs and the King’s mausoleum. During your time here, you can also visit the tomb of Alexander the Great’s father. Pella is the alleged birthplace of Alexander the Great, and your guide will lead you on a tour of the town before returning you to your accommodation for the evening.

Today you will venture to Dion and Mt. Olympus with an expert guide. This tour will teach you about Greece’s intricate lore and mythology.  While strolling through Dion, you will visit the ancient theater and many of Dion’s other points of interest. The incredible Mt. Olympus will be your next stop on today’s tour. This was the place where 12 gods of ancient Greece supposedly lived. You can partake in a refreshing hike up a portion of the mountain for some incredible views.

Today you will venture to the monasteries at Meteora. Beginning with an early morning departure from Thessaloniki, a scenic ride to the monasteries will offer you views of the incredible landscape. Following an informative and intriguing tour of the monastery, you will transfer to Kalabaka. After enjoying some free time to explore on your own, you will transfer back to Thessaloniki and have your final night to spend at your leisure.

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport to catch your departing flight.
