Naples – Arrive in Bustling Naples to View the Grandeur of the Past
Naples is the former capital of the Kingdom of Naples, home to a vibrant historical center, remarkable art, and an impressive collection of extravagant palaces. Your flight will lands at the Capodichino International Airport in Naples. Your private transfer will meet you at baggage claim and escort you into the bustling motion of Italy’s third largest city. Near the shores of the Bay of Naples, the breeze carries a mixture of aromas, from the refreshing scent of the Mediterranean Sea to the savory aroma of fresh dough and the homemade sauce that emanates from the pizzerias situated along the promenade. The city and the surrounding region brim with epicurean delights including pasta, brioche, and coffee. The Royal Palace at Capodimonte stands atop the central hill with a view of the city streets.
A funicular opened in the 1920s to ferry people from Central Naples to Piazza Vanvitelli, and the nearby palace shines with opulence. King Charles VII of Bourbon built the structure as a hunting lodge in the 18th century but today the structure houses some of the most important artistic works of the region. The National Museum of Capodimonte exhibits pieces by Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Titian across three floors and 160 rooms. Locals lounge on the grass area outside the rosy façade and the interior glints with polished marble floors and the prestige of master artists. At the waterfront, you can enjoy the view of the boats as they come in and out of the marina as they have for millennia. The city represents the main port of Southern Italy with the harbor at its core, in both history and focus.

Zicasso’s travel company did such a great job putting the trip together. I was charged for an extra night at our hotel in Paris, but they are refunding that and the Cairo portion of the trip we had to cancel.
Our Paris tour guide was great and I’d recommend her to anyone. Our Rome tour guides were very good. Hong Kong was fine. Our Tokyo guide was wonderful.
Really, the only hiccup on the trip was our hotel in Hong Kong. The company that picked us up dropped us at one hotel, not the correct one. Thankfully, a couple of their bellhops walked us and all our luggage several blocks to the correct hotel. Our tour guide the next day also went to the wrong hotel, but we only lost about 45 minutes before we figured out the issue. If you use that hotel again, please make sure folks know which hotel is which.
The "Fast and Furious" car experience was OK; however, my grandson was so tired he slept through most of it. The chopstick-making was fun, as was the glass-blowing experience.

We had an amazing trip of a lifetime to the Amalfi Coast and Rome. Zicasso’s travel specialist did a fantastic job getting to know me and finding out what my exact wants were. They kept tabs on us while we were traveling and even contacted us when our train was delayed over an hour. When we had an issue, there was always someone there to help resolve it.

I really liked the hotels and the Airbnb we were booked in. The breakfasts were lovely, and the staff was even lovelier. Also, I appreciated that we started our trip in a smaller place before we tackled the bigger cities. The excursions were nicely spaced out and we really enjoyed our start-of-the-season boat cruise, as well as the final market tour.
Our drivers were either early or on time, and our “long-haul” driver for two of our trips was great. He and my husband really hit it off.
I really appreciated that staff members were available when we needed them (even on the weekends and even when we were the ones who showed up in the wrong spot).

Zicasso’s travel specialist made this our best trip ever. She was communicative and accommodating, as well as always available for our questions. Every tour and every guide was exceptional. Their ability to communicate their enthusiasm and passion was jaw-dropping. We came back each day with our mouths dropped by the amount of information and the fun we had. Each hotel the travel specialist picked for us was great, offering the best locations and caring, accommodating staff. She was a lovely and genuine person.
One of the highlights was our cooking class with a chef. This does not diminish each tour guide; they were perfect. Also, she arranged private transport that made our trip a breeze from beginning to end. Especially cool was the taxi in Venice! Thank you, to our travel specialist and Zicasso, for an amazing vacation. Oh, the wine and olive oil were perfection. Highly recommend!

Our travel company and Zicasso were truly excellent trip resources and designers of our two-week vacation to Greece. They arranged every detail. We had transportation prearranged, lodging that was extraordinary, and food that was unforgettable.
Our guides for various day tours in each location were phenomenal. They were never rushed and seemed to give us limitless time. They made arrangements for us that were not part of their paid services, just because they were so welcoming. The guides were all graduates of universities who had completed months of additional studies to become certified as guides. We learned so much from our trip about the places, but also about the culture and what it's like to actually live in Greece. Bravo!
