Italy Tour Review: Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, Florence, 12 Nights

Zicasso’s travel company and every single guide and driver were stellar. All four hotels were good or excellent. There was one error on the schedule for the day outside of Florence when we had a driver to take us to the Siena region. The schedule stated three hours, so we paid for tickets to the Pitti Palace/garden, which turned out to be wasted money as the driving tour was actually nine hours. It was a beautiful day, though.

Italy Honeymoon Travel Review: Florence, Rome, Amalfi Coast, 8 Nights

Our honeymoon in Italy was absolutely magical and so much of that is thanks to our travel company. From our very first call, they took the time to understand what we wanted and crafted an itinerary through Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast that felt personal rather than cookie-cutter. Every detail was handled: hotels, transfers, and tours all ran seamlessly, so we could simply relax and enjoy being newlyweds.

Florence stole our hearts with its art and charm, Rome was awe-inspiring at every turn, and ending the trip on the Amalfi Coast, with those breathtaking sea views, was the perfect romantic finale. The guides were knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, bringing each city to life in a way we never could have experienced on our own.

Communication before and during the trip was prompt and reassuring, and it was clear the team truly cared about making our honeymoon special.

We came home with memories we'll treasure forever. We can't recommend this travel company and Zicasso highly enough. We're already dreaming about our next trip with them!

Italy Trip Review: Florence, Venice, Rome, Tuscany, Cooking Class, Food Tour, 10 Days

Thanks for organizing a great trip to Italy for us. We had a great time. The entire experience working with Zicasso's travel company was professional. They were responsive, on top of things, and helped plan and execute a positively memorable trip to Florence, Venice, and Rome.

Hotels: All hotels met our needs. I would rate the hotels across quality of room/property and quality of service on a scale of one to five:

Our hotel in Florence: Quality of room 4/5; Quality of service 5/5.

Our hotel in Tuscany: Quality of room 3/5; Quality of service 4/5.

Our hotel in Rome: Quality of room 5/5 (best room); Quality of service 4.5/5.

Guides and drivers: All guides and drivers did a great job. They were punctual, gave us good information, and were friendly. I want to specially recognize our driver in Florence/Tuscany, our guide on June 26 in Florence, and our guide for the food tour in Rome for doing an exceptional job.

What could’ve been better: Given the hot weather, which is outside everyone’s control, some days felt cramped. In Florence, after the guided tour of Florence, we had the cooking class. As a result, we could not do the planned climb up the Duomo dome. In Venice, if we did it again, we would choose a different location and hotel.

Overall, we ended the trip with very fond memories of Italy. There is so much more to explore in your beautiful country and we will be back. Thanks to the team at the travel company.

Italy Anniversary Trip Review: Rome, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Capri, Grand Canal, 11 Days

Zicasso's travel specialists did a magnificent job planning our itinerary to Rome, Florence, Bologna, and Venice. Our hotels were all beautiful and perfectly located. We really loved having luxury vehicles to bring us everywhere instead of having to get a taxi. It made a huge difference in ease and comfort, plus all the drivers were so nice and knowledgeable. The tours we went on were all enjoyable.

They also provided restaurant lists for each location. Of course, the best part was that we got married in Capri 20 years ago and this was our anniversary trip to bring our daughters with us and renew our vows together. They planned a lovely ceremony in a palace located on the Grand Canal, with a gorgeous private garden. It exceeded our expectations and ended our trip with a memory that will last forever!

We were sad to leave and can’t wait to go back, and will absolutely use this travel specialist and his crew again.

Italy Trip Review: Milan, Florence, Lake Como, Venice, 11 Nights

When we started planning our trip to Italy, I knew I wanted to work with a travel agent—specifically, someone who specialized in Italy and was based there. After reaching out to several agencies and reviewing their responses, we chose Zicasso and, more specifically, our travel agent. She is based in Milan and from my very first interaction with her, I knew we had made the right choice.

Our trip could not have been more perfect. Our agent put a lot of thought into every location and planned activity. At the outset, we had a few discussions with her about what we wanted from the trip and, after that, we were happy to leave most of the details in her capable hands. Our goal was to explore mid-to-northern Italy and everything—from the hotels and tours to the free time and transportation—was beautifully organized.

Our 11-night trip started in Milan and ended in Florence, with overnight stays in Milan (one night), Lake Como (three nights), Venice (three nights), and Florence (four nights). Initially, I was hesitant about staying at Lake Como for three nights, but our agent encouraged me to do a little research. I’m so glad she did, as it turned out to be incredible. We had more self-guided time at Lake Como, which was perfect as we adjusted to the time change. In Venice, our itinerary became more structured, but we still had plenty of time for our own explorations. By the time we reached Florence, we had activities and tours planned for every day, which was just what we wanted.

A highlight for my family was a full-day trip into Tuscany, where we visited San Gimignano, an organic vineyard in Chianti, and finished with a tour of Siena. Our day trip to Rome allowed us to see the main attractions and we concluded the journey with a tour of Florence and the Accademia Gallery. Every tour our agent arranged was spot on.

Throughout our trip, she was wonderfully communicative—always available when we had questions, but never intrusive. She even helped us with a couple of last-minute requests: booking a hotel in Milan for one night and arranging train tickets to Verona for an impromptu visit to Juliet’s balcony. Whenever we needed something, she was there.

When we return to explore the mid-to-southern part of Italy, there’s no question that we’ll be asking her to plan our trip again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a seamless, thoughtfully curated Italian adventure.

Italy Family Vacation Review: Venice, Verona, Florence, Tuscany, Siena, Rome, Biking, Cooking, Wine Tasting, Olive Oil Experience, 10 Nights

Zicasso's travel company planned the most amazing trip to Venice, Verona, Florence, Tuscany, Siena, and Rome for our family of five. It was the best trip I've ever taken, and having all the details covered by them and plans and tickets sent to us via WhatsApp allowed us to really live in the moment and not have to think about what was next. I loved every second. I cannot wait to plan another trip to Italy to experience the southern half of the country.
