Kruger, Masai Mara, and Gorilla Trekking Two-Week Safari

What to expect on this itinerary
As you consider the allure of Africa, three experiences rise to the pinnacle of most imaginations; the landscape of South Africa’s Kruger, the wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara, and the trek to see the wild mountain gorillas. This luxury two-week adventure safari will connect all three for the ultimate adventure into the intimacy and the drama of Africa’s wilderness. Featuring exceptional lodges, unique safari activities, private concessions, and a chance to be alone with the four-legged giants of Africa, your journey through the continent will leave you forever changed.

MalaMala Game Reserve – Iconic Game Drive Introductions
An old elephant may amble past the lodge, a look of melancholy in his small eyes. Three giraffes are painted along the horizon, sentinels of the safari. Baboons are hooting from the trees above you, and a herd of zebra grazes on the grass below your balcony. You have not yet even been on your game drive, and already the animals are leaving an impression. Over these two weeks, you will find that rare wildlife becomes the panorama and the constant across Kruger, Masai Mara, and Rwanda.
Earlier in the day you will touch down in Johannesburg and transfer onto a scheduled light aircraft flight to MalaMala, well-renowned as the finest of the private game reserves in Southern Africa. MalaMala is also the largest as it runs along the western corridor of the Greater Kruger ecosystem with no barriers preventing the movement of wildlife. As you begin with your first game drive, you will start to get closer to find that now it is an elephant herd, rather than just something in the distance as trunks swing as they pass your vehicle. Prints will lead you towards a cheetah, eventually found hiding amongst the grass, and your first glimpse of a rhino provides a memory that will last a lifetime.

I sort of pivoted with what we wanted Zicasso’s travel specialist to arrange for us and she handled that change very well. We essentially asked her just to handle the safari part of our trip and sought her input on some other itinerary decisions we had made. She gave us great guidance and, ultimately, we loved the safari lodge she selected.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience and met nice people and professional guides that showed us a small part of your beautiful country. The pace of our stay was very good for older folks. We enjoyed Cape Town and all the sightseeing done with our guide: Table Mountain and the scenic drive to Cape of Good Hope, and the time spent in Franschhoek and the guided tour. The time spent at the game reserve gave us exposure to some of the wild animals that we had never seen but in movies or magazines.
Thanks to Zicasso’s travel specialist and her team for preparing our trip. It was very easy and the Zicasso website works very well.

Our trip was incredible. The guides were excellent, especially our guide with 30 years of experience. We were very thankful to have everyone who guided us at the airports, especially in Nairobi, which we would not have been able to get through without their help. The assistance in Zanzibar was very helpful, as one of us did not have a visa yet. We appreciated the guidance and patience from the Zicasso team.

Our trip to Kenya and Tanzania was magnificent. Zicasso’s travel company planned a trip for us that took into consideration all our requests, from seeing Mount Kilimanjaro to visiting camps with open Jeeps for game drives.
They were extremely helpful before the trip when we had an issue with my visa and made sure I had the support I needed from their travel partners on-site.
All of the camps they selected for us were great. They checked in during the trip to make sure everything was going as planned and followed up on our return for any comments we might have had. We can’t say enough good things about this travel company.
