Madrid – Arrive in Madrid for a Half-Day Tour of Spain’s Capital City
The splendor of Madrid shines around the clock from the grandeur of the Royal Palace to the charm of the cosmopolitan boutique shops that line the Grand Via within the elegant frame of Beaux-Arts buildings. Cafes fill the Plaza Mayor and decorate the arched colonnades that lead to the main street of Calle Toledo. The façade of the Prado Museum promises collections along the interior galleries as majestic as the marvels of the exterior architecture. Your flight will land at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, and your private transfer will greet you upon your arrival and escort you to your gorgeous hotel at the heart of the bustling capital city.
Settle in and then meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel to venture out into the streets of the fascinating city to view the blend of historical grace and contemporary culture. The Basilica de San Francisco El Grande was erected in La Latina neighborhood in the 18th century, and the neoclassical design accentuates the beautiful dome that reaches a height of nearly 200 feet above the city streets. The nave has a circular shape with chapels that guard 12 marble statues of the apostles, and frescoes crafted with different artistic styles decorate the chapels, with the most well-known filling Capilla de San Bernardino. We have used Zicasso affiliates several times and this was one of the best. They tailored a creative program in Casablanca, Fes, Rabat, and Marrakech to our likes, needs, and abilities, and modified it as needed before and after the trip began.
The guides were very good on the whole. Two of the three hotels were outstanding and the third was excellent. We couldn’t have had a more punctual, careful, or informative driver. We even met one of the owners of the company for a coffee. He went out of his way to make our stay special, safe, and secure.

We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide and company. Our travel agent really saved our trip. We reached out just a few weeks before our 11-day visit to the country. We were so impressed at how well he listened to what we wanted to do, as well as our challenges with trying to meet up with our daughter. Despite that, he was able to pull together a magnificent itinerary for Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and the Atlas Mountains.
We needed a driver the whole time and our driver was so much more than that. The riads our travel agent found, the restaurants, and the cultural experiences were just perfect. Plus, we had ample downtime. The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests.
From the minute we arrived in Rabat to the moment we left, we felt in good hands. We are so grateful to their expertise and to Zicasso for connecting us to such an excellent person and company. We will reach out to Zicasso the next time we plan a trip abroad. Meanwhile, we tell everyone we meet about your services.

Zicasso’s travel specialist is absolutely A+—BEST IN CLASS!!!
Planning the trip with him was delightful. He listened carefully during our initial call and we had several conversations and emails to design the itinerary. His recommendations were spot-on and he was very flexible and supportive of our requested modifications, and incredibly responsive. It was an excellent experience planning the trip!
We LOVED the travel app he uses—it was truly helpful during the time we were in Spain. Everyone in our family really appreciated it!
When on the ground in Spain, we were in texting contact with him throughout the trip, including requesting additional add-on experiences the day before, which he made happen, and other small and meaningful adjustments! All of the drivers and guides selected were on time, professional, with deep knowledge, and delightful and fun to be with.
We absolutely loved our trip and it was just fabulous to work with a travel partner as excellent as him!
We highly recommend!!

While I normally handle my own trip planning, we decided to work with Zicasso for our first trip to Morocco at the advice of a friend, and I am so pleased with the entire experience. The knowledgeable travel agent listened to our ideas and helped us create an itinerary.
Everything was seamless. Accommodations were fantastic and the experiences exceeded our expectations. Our driver and guides enriched our understanding of the country and culture, while providing us a nice platform for exploring on our own. They were all very personable and well informed.
