Detailed Description
England can be a peculiar place. What with their afternoon tea ceremonies, regal obsessions, and London’s throbbing streets. Scotland is also a place of inimitability, from lochs to whisky to castles. Then how about Ireland, that country of idiosyncrasies, where you kiss the Blarney Stone to receive the gift of the gab. This luxury tour explores all three countries in just two weeks, immersing you in the famous and the strange, the unusual and the beautiful. You’ll spend time in the capital cities, where there’s almost too much to take in. You’ll explore breathtaking rural landscapes, the colors of the three countries very distinct from one another. With two weeks, you hop from highlight to highlight and you come to understand what these countries are all about.
Start in London, the enigmatic English capital. With one day, it’s hard to escape the world-famous icons, so many of them clustered around the city’s heart. From Buckingham Palace to Big Ben, and statues from history, day two is all about unmissable London. Next, you head into the neighborhoods for a dose of local London, accompanied by the quintessential English tea experience. Traveling to Edinburgh takes just over four hours on a high-speed train, a journey to showcase the changing nature of the English and Scottish countryside. Then you have two nights in the Scottish capital, discovering everything from the Royal Mile to Melrose Abbey and the crown jewels.
Travel further north through Scotland, stopping at Stirling Castle on route to the Highlands. Loch Lomond is your base, a place to inhale countryside air, go whisky tasting with the distillers, and cruise across the water. Then it’s back to England, this time the West Coast train line, stopping for a night in the Lake District before a night in Liverpool. You’ll experience dazzling green hills and quiet stone villages, before following the Beatles Story through England’s most underrated city. Liverpool is packed with heritage as well as having some of the country’s finest museums, plus all the grand architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Four nights in Ireland complete this luxury tour. With a full day in Dublin, you can see the sights – St Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College, Grafton Street – as well as experiencing storytelling culture and a pint of the black stuff (Guinness). The journey to County Kerry passes by Blarney Stone and the journey around the Ring of Kerry is one of Europe’s great travel highlights. More sublime coastlines feature in County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher a place to gaze out over the Atlantic and appreciate rural Ireland. You’ll depart from Shannon Airport, flying back over the Emerald Isle before recollecting three countries on the journey home.

We recently returned from our tour of Scotland that we booked through Zicasso’s travel company, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. Our travel agent created a wonderful itinerary, with some fantastic tours. Even though we had some mix-ups along the way, the travel agent and our driver quickly changed plans and got us to other great sites. In the end, everything worked out and the travel company made it right.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully organized, without ever being rigid or rushed. Our personal driver struck the perfect balance between being informative and personable, sharing rich historical context, local legends, and even a bit of humor that made long drives feel short. He made the trip so much fun and kept us laughing the entire trip. It never felt like a scripted experience; instead, it felt like traveling with someone who genuinely loves Scotland and wants you to love it too.
The itinerary was particularly well designed. We covered iconic highlights, from Edinburgh, through Glasgow, staying in Inverness, then ending the trip in Edinburgh in one of the most romantic and elegant places we have stayed.
Through our travels, we saw dramatic Highlands, serene lochs, and charming villages, while still having enough free time to explore on our own. I appreciated that the schedule didn’t feel overly packed; there was space to soak in the scenery, enjoy a quiet walk, or linger a bit longer in places that captured our attention.
The accommodations were another standout. Each place had its own character, ranging from cozy inns to elegant hotels, all clean and comfortable. It felt like an authentic experience rather than a generic one.
Transportation was smooth and reliable. Having our own personal driver made a big difference. It allowed for a more intimate, flexible experience and made it one of the best vacation experiences we have had.
If I had to offer one small suggestion, it would be to include slightly more time in some of the smaller towns—we often wished we could stay just a bit longer. That said, I understand the challenge of balancing such a rich itinerary.
Overall, this was a memorable and enriching trip, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this travel company to anyone looking to explore Scotland in a meaningful and well-organized way. I came home with not just photos, but a genuine appreciation for the country’s history, landscapes, and culture.

Zicasso's tour company created a very detailed travel plan, considered my input, and came up with a way to satisfy all the things we wanted to see, and added in some additional fun things to try!

Zicasso’s travel specialist and his team were superb. They were able to craft the perfect trip for us. The hotels, destinations, and tours were all very well planned and arranged, and they went out of their way to arrange everything just as we requested.
I would recommend the travel company to everyone who wants polite, efficient service. The team was available and responded a couple of times quickly during the trip when we had questions. Overall, they made our trip one to remember for years to come. We were all very happy.

Zicasso’s travel specialists were excellent to work with, as we adjusted our itinerary many times from initial contact to the time of travel. Our travel party significantly reduced in number and they worked with us to put together a great tour of Scotland (Edinburgh, including the castle, Royal Holyrood Palace, and a day trip to Stirling Castle with a great chauffeur/guide) and Ireland, arranging our flight to Dublin with transportation to Galway, then return via train for activities in Dublin. We had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend the travel company.

The trip was awesome, but the standout portion of the trip was our time with our chauffeur. He both knowledgeable and engaged the entire time, and just a pleasure to be around. Our accommodations were nice and our scheduled excursions in Edinburgh were great.
If I could offer one suggestion, and, in truth, it's difficult to even come up with one, we would have appreciated assistance with dinner reservations while we were in Edinburgh. Other Zicasso trips we've taken have included this service and we have found it very helpful.
I am looking forward to our next trip with this travel company! We've already made a list of what we'd like to see next time. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing experience. Looking forward to my next (my fifth) Zicasso trip!

We recently traveled to the UK using Zicasso’s travel specialist and we had the most amazing trip. Everything was planned out perfectly. From the pick-up at the airport to drop-off, we met friendly and interesting drivers who couldn’t wait to share their knowledge of London, York, and Edinburgh.
The guides we had for various excursions were fantastic. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. My husband is an amateur photographer and they were great with suggestions and very patient while he took his photos.
We had a small issue with a hotel room and it was resolved within hours by the travel specialist and her team, which made our stay a dream. She was also able to get us inside tickets to Stonehenge and, wow, it was magical.
Honestly, we were overwhelmed at first trying to plan this on our own, but working with the travel specialist was the best thing we did. We have wonderful memories of England and Scotland, and we are very grateful.
