Rome – Arrive in the Wonders of Rome with a Fascinating Walking Tour

Rome stands as an eternal testament to perseverance and dedication and harbors a culture of artists, chefs, and architects. Lavish domes and spires decorate the city’s skyline, and the scent of roses emanates from the corner flower stands, fading beneath the decadent aroma of a confectionary on Via Urbana. Your private transfer greets you upon your arrival at Fiumicino Airport and escorts you into the heart of the opulent and historic city. Your 19th-century accommodation overlooks the stunning Spanish Steps and offers a remarkable vintage allure with contemporary amenities for unforgettable luxury. Your guide greets you in the hotel lobby eager to introduce to the fabulous streets of Rome at your preferred pace, basking in the Romance of the Eternal City.

The 17th-century Fontana della Barcaccia, located at the base of the Spanish Steps, trickles against the backdrop of couples sipping wine, teenagers sneaking kisses, and competing guitarists setting a serene mood. You walk along the cobblestone streets to Piazza Navona in time to watch the sunlight fade over the baroque palatial facades. Artists sit with their easels and watch the celebrated square throughout the day, capturing the glinting rosy hues and golden colors in the soft light. Your guide points to the gorgeous Fountain of the Four Rivers where allegorical figures display the power and grace of the Nile, Danube, Ganges, and Rio de la Plata, four major rivers representing the known continents in the mid-17th century.

Italy Travel Review: Amalfi Coast, Rome, Capri, Sorrento, 10 Nights

We had an amazing trip of a lifetime to the Amalfi Coast and Rome. Zicasso’s travel specialist did a fantastic job getting to know me and finding out what my exact wants were. They kept tabs on us while we were traveling and even contacted us when our train was delayed over an hour. When we had an issue, there was always someone there to help resolve it.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Slovenia Vacation Review: Dubrovnik, Old City Wall

We had a great trip. There were some tiny glitches along the way, but that's to be expected. We saw most of what I had planned on. It was easy to work with our agent.

Italy Travel Review: Agrigento, Trapani, Favignana, Siracusa, Terrasini, Boat Ride, Street Food Tour, 2 Weeks

I really liked the hotels and the Airbnb we were booked in. The breakfasts were lovely, and the staff was even lovelier. Also, I appreciated that we started our trip in a smaller place before we tackled the bigger cities. The excursions were nicely spaced out and we really enjoyed our start-of-the-season boat cruise, as well as the final market tour.

Our drivers were either early or on time, and our “long-haul” driver for two of our trips was great. He and my husband really hit it off.

I really appreciated that staff members were available when we needed them (even on the weekends and even when we were the ones who showed up in the wrong spot).

Italy Vacation Review: Vatican, Colosseum, Venice, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting, Olive Oil, 11 Nights

Zicasso’s travel specialist made this our best trip ever. She was communicative and accommodating, as well as always available for our questions. Every tour and every guide was exceptional. Their ability to communicate their enthusiasm and passion was jaw-dropping. We came back each day with our mouths dropped by the amount of information and the fun we had. Each hotel the travel specialist picked for us was great, offering the best locations and caring, accommodating staff. She was a lovely and genuine person.

One of the highlights was our cooking class with a chef. This does not diminish each tour guide; they were perfect. Also, she arranged private transport that made our trip a breeze from beginning to end. Especially cool was the taxi in Venice! Thank you, to our travel specialist and Zicasso, for an amazing vacation. Oh, the wine and olive oil were perfection. Highly recommend!

Greece Travel Review: Guides, 12 Days

Our travel company and Zicasso were truly excellent trip resources and designers of our two-week vacation to Greece. They arranged every detail. We had transportation prearranged, lodging that was extraordinary, and food that was unforgettable.

Our guides for various day tours in each location were phenomenal. They were never rushed and seemed to give us limitless time. They made arrangements for us that were not part of their paid services, just because they were so welcoming. The guides were all graduates of universities who had completed months of additional studies to become certified as guides. We learned so much from our trip about the places, but also about the culture and what it's like to actually live in Greece. Bravo!
