Ravello – Arrive in Naples and Transfer to the Beauty of the Amalfi Coast
Ravello is considered a window to the sky and sits in the mountains that border the Amalfi Coast. The stunning coastal views and marvelous history offer an indelible romantic atmosphere accentuated by the quiet luxuries. Your private transfer will greet you at Naples International Airport and escort you around the Bay of Naples. The gorgeous colors of the Tyrrhenian Sea glow turquoise and indigo against the cliffs and beaches of the Amalfi Coast, and you will likely be able to see the distant shores of Capri as you wind along the famous roadway. Enjoy the views as you travel the 25 miles between the town of Positano in the west and Vietri sul Mare in the east.
Upon reaching the town on the ridge, you will quickly agree with the famous composer Richard Wagner, who once said Ravello was the closest place to heaven. The Cathedral was erected in the 11th century and continues to crown the main plaza, Piazza Vescovado. The town sits at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, which accounts for the ample views over the spectacular Amalfi Coast. After taking a moment to settle into the comforts of your luxurious hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy the pleasures of the town. Venture to Villa Cimbrone, which crowns the cliff with elements that date back to the 11th century and are the perfect introduction to Italy’s romance and passion on your unforgettable escape. We had an amazing trip of a lifetime to the Amalfi Coast and Rome. Zicasso’s travel specialist did a fantastic job getting to know me and finding out what my exact wants were. They kept tabs on us while we were traveling and even contacted us when our train was delayed over an hour. When we had an issue, there was always someone there to help resolve it.

We had a great trip. There were some tiny glitches along the way, but that's to be expected. We saw most of what I had planned on. It was easy to work with our agent.

I really liked the hotels and the Airbnb we were booked in. The breakfasts were lovely, and the staff was even lovelier. Also, I appreciated that we started our trip in a smaller place before we tackled the bigger cities. The excursions were nicely spaced out and we really enjoyed our start-of-the-season boat cruise, as well as the final market tour.
Our drivers were either early or on time, and our “long-haul” driver for two of our trips was great. He and my husband really hit it off.
I really appreciated that staff members were available when we needed them (even on the weekends and even when we were the ones who showed up in the wrong spot).

Zicasso’s travel specialist made this our best trip ever. She was communicative and accommodating, as well as always available for our questions. Every tour and every guide was exceptional. Their ability to communicate their enthusiasm and passion was jaw-dropping. We came back each day with our mouths dropped by the amount of information and the fun we had. Each hotel the travel specialist picked for us was great, offering the best locations and caring, accommodating staff. She was a lovely and genuine person.
One of the highlights was our cooking class with a chef. This does not diminish each tour guide; they were perfect. Also, she arranged private transport that made our trip a breeze from beginning to end. Especially cool was the taxi in Venice! Thank you, to our travel specialist and Zicasso, for an amazing vacation. Oh, the wine and olive oil were perfection. Highly recommend!

We have traveled often overseas and found this company to be among the very best. We would highly recommend their services and would not hesitate to refer them to our friends or use them again.

Our travel company and Zicasso were truly excellent trip resources and designers of our two-week vacation to Greece. They arranged every detail. We had transportation prearranged, lodging that was extraordinary, and food that was unforgettable.
Our guides for various day tours in each location were phenomenal. They were never rushed and seemed to give us limitless time. They made arrangements for us that were not part of their paid services, just because they were so welcoming. The guides were all graduates of universities who had completed months of additional studies to become certified as guides. We learned so much from our trip about the places, but also about the culture and what it's like to actually live in Greece. Bravo!
